Biography

I am a postdoctoral researcher and bioinformatician at the University of Oxford, focused on improving antimicrobial resistance (AMR) prediction across different pathogens. My current work involves reconstructing complete genomes and identifying plasmids (mobile pieces of DNA that often carry resistance genes). I am particularly interested in how different sequencing approaches affect how accurately we capture this information, and what that implies for AMR detection.
