Lucio Marcello is a Senior Bioinformatician for Method Development at BioSS, with training in molecular biology and extensive experience in applied computational research. He holds a PhD in Molecular Parasitology from the University of Glasgow and works at the interface of genomics, metagenomics, and environmental data analysis. His research and consultancy work span antimicrobial resistance, environmental DNA, soil and microbiome studies and biodiversity monitoring, with a particular focus on developing scalable, reproducible bioinformatics workflows.
